Maybe you haven't thought of whether you'd like the venue to be exclusive not - what exactly does "Exclusive" mean? Why does it often have a hire price tag? Well, here some helpful advice and tips on whether this is for you...

So, to have a venue "exclusively yours" literally means, it’s just you and your guests, no surprise visitors strolling around in dressing gowns or driving around the grounds in golf carts (hopefully not both at the same time!). It’s your private location for the day!

Keep in mind, booking an exclusive venue can increase up the price since the venue might need to shut down other activities like afternoon teas, restaurant service, bars, golf, spa treatments to keep everything just for you. It's also expensive because if holding events such as weddings with no other means of allowing the public on the premises, this is how they get their income, So it's going to be more expensive!

Choosing exclusivity also means fewer wedding crashers on your special day therefore more privacy and security.

On the flip side not having venue exclusivity means you will be saving money for sure! You will get more flexibility so there's no need to rush out, your suppliers can come and go as they please, and you can all enjoy the venue’s amenities, especially if you’re staying overnight. Imagine waking up the next morning, maybe lounging in a spa or playing a round of golf to shake off the hangover!

Ultimately, whether you go for exclusive venue hire or not, the most important thing is that it feels right for you, so do what makes your heart happy, not what others expect!
